COACHING SERVICES AGREEMENT

Growing Self Counseling and Coaching Internship Program

This Coaching Services Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Growing Self Counseling and Coaching ("Growing Self"), the Coaching Intern ("Coach"), and you ("Client"). This Agreement governs your participation in the Growing Self Coaching Internship Program.

1. SERVICES PROVIDED

1.1 Program Structure

  • The program consists of eight (8) 45-minute coaching sessions delivered over an 8-week period.
  • Sessions will be scheduled at a consistent day and time agreed upon by you and your Coach.
  • Your program will commence on the start date of the internship cohort, not necessarily on your registration date.

1.2 Coach Qualifications

  • Your Coach is a licensed therapist working toward their Board Certified Coach (BCC) credential.
  • Coaches have completed a 30-hour coaching program plus 8 hours of live class participation, in addition to their professional experience as therapists.

1.3 Coaching Focus

Coaching is appropriate for the following goals:

  • Identification and attainment of personal goals
  • Enhancement of life satisfaction
  • Improvement of relational satisfaction
  • Career development and satisfaction
  • The attainment of identified outcomes during life transitions

2. PAYMENT TERMS

2.1 Program Fee(s)

A. Two payment option

  • The total cost of the program is $398, billed as $199 per month for two (2) months.
  • The initial payment is due upon enrollment, with the second payment automatically charged one month after your original signup date.
  • No additional fees will be charged for participation in this program.

B. Eight payment option

  • The total cost of the program is $392, billed as $49 per week for 8 weeks.
  • The initial payment is due upon enrollment, with the subsequent payments billed once per week after the cohort start date.
  • No additional fees will be charged for participation in this program.
  • Your coaching services date does not coincide with payment dates. 
  • If your card is declined, and payment is not resolved within 5 business days, you will forfeit your spot in the program.

2.2 Refund Policy

  • If your Coach determines that coaching is not appropriate for your needs and that you require mental health treatment instead, you will receive a refund for the unused portion of your program fees after an appropriate referral has been made.
  • No refunds will be issued for missed or unused sessions.

3. SCHEDULING AND ATTENDANCE

3.1 Session Scheduling

  • You and your Coach will establish a consistent day and time for your weekly sessions.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your availability and commitment to attending these scheduled sessions.

3.2 Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Your Coach will assist with cancellations and rescheduling when necessary.
  • All eight (8) sessions must be completed within the 8-week program period.
  • Any unused sessions will expire at the end of the 8-week term without refund.

4. PROGRAM LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS

4.1 Not Mental Health Treatment

  • This coaching program is NOT intended to diagnose or treat any mental health condition.
  • This program is NOT appropriate for clients with active and untreated mental health diagnoses.

4.2 Current Mental Health Treatment

  • If you are currently receiving mental health treatment or taking prescribed psychotropic medications, you must consult with your treatment provider to determine if this coaching program will complement your treatment.
  • Your Coach may determine during the course of the program that coaching is not appropriate for your needs and that mental health services would be more beneficial. If so you will receive referrals for mental health treatment, and your participation in this coaching program will end. You will be issued a refund for unused sessions.

5. COACH ASSIGNMENT AND TRANSITION

5.1 Coach Assignment

  • You will be automatically assigned to a program Coach.
  • If you prefer a different Coach, Growing Self will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request, but reassignment may not be possible based on intern capacity and availability.
  • Reassignment may require waiting until a new cohort begins.

5.2 Program Continuation Options

At the conclusion of the 8-week program, you will have two options:

  1. Continue with your Coach in their private practice:
    • If selected, you will transition from Growing Self's platform to your Coach's independent practice.
    • This Agreement will terminate, and you will negotiate pricing and session frequency directly with your Coach.
  2. Remain with Growing Self's internship program:
    • If selected, you will be transitioned to a new intern for another 8-week cycle.
    • You will be charged $199 per month for two months for another round of 8 sessions.
    • Your former Coach will provide a coaching summary to the new intern to ensure continuity.

6. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

6.1 Results Disclaimer

  • Growing Self does not guarantee any specific outcomes or results.
  • Your individual circumstances, commitment, and efforts will determine your results.
  • Results may vary.

6.2 Recommendations

  • Your Coach may suggest activities or exercises to advance your goals.
  • It is your responsibility to determine if these recommendations are appropriate or helpful for your specific situation.
  • Growing Self bears no liability or responsibility if these recommendations are ineffective or inappropriate for you.

6.3 Limitation of Liability

  • Growing Self is not liable for any actions taken by the Coach or by you as a result of coaching suggestions.
  • Growing Self's liability is limited to the amount paid for the coaching services.
  • In no event shall Growing Self be liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, or punitive damages.

6.4 Coach Obligations

  • Coaches must operate under the legal and ethical guidelines of their profession.
  • Coaches will assess the goodness of fit and appropriateness of coaching for your goals.

7. CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVACY

7.1 Confidentiality

  • All communications between you and your Coach will be kept confidential except as required by law or ethical guidelines.
  • Information may be shared within the Growing Self organization for supervision and transition purposes.

7.2 Exceptions to Confidentiality

Confidentiality may be broken if:

  • There is reasonable suspicion of abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or dependent adult.
  • You express intent to harm yourself or others.
  • Records are subpoenaed by a court of law.

8. TERMINATION

8.1 Termination by Client

  • You may terminate coaching services at any time by providing written notice to Growing Self.
  • No refunds will be issued for early termination except as specified in Section 2.2.

8.2 Termination by Growing Self

  • Growing Self or your Coach may terminate this Agreement if it is determined that:
    • Coaching is not appropriate for your needs
    • You would be better served by other services and/or mental heath treatment
    • You fail to adhere to the terms of this Agreement
    • The coach-client relationship is no longer productive

9. GENERAL PROVISIONS

9.1 Entire Agreement

  • This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between you, Growing Self, and your Coach regarding the coaching services.

9.2 Governing Law

  • This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state in which Growing Self operates.

9.3 Amendment

  • This Agreement may only be modified in writing signed by Growing Self and you.

9.4 Severability

  • If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

10. ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND CONSENT

By enrolling in this program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. You further acknowledge that coaching is not psychotherapy or mental health treatment, and that you are responsible for your own decisions and actions resulting from coaching.
